Special Guest Announcement

Hello  ,
June is here and there is lots going on!

On Sunday, June 16 we celebrate Juneteenth at McArthur Park in La Mesa. Stop by the DWC table between 12-4PM and say hi!

Info below. 👇🏼

Then, join us on Monday, June 17 for our monthly meeting. I’m thrilled to announce that, in collaboration with BAWR Democratic Club, we will begin our night with a special message from Secretary of State the honorable Dr. Shirley Weber!

Don’t miss it!

Later we will learn about the SAFETY Act from Kristi Hirst, Co-Founder of Our Schools USA.

“The SAFETY Act will support parents and youth working towards family acceptance on their terms, protect LGBTQ+ students from isolation and bullying, and provide critical safeguards to prevent retaliation against teachers and school staff who foster a safe and supportive school environment for all students. The SAFETY Act is essential and timely to ensure that LGBTQ+ and ALL California students are safe at school.”

Luca de Sanctis Barton of Public Bank San Diego will discuss their plan to create a local public bank right here in San Diego.

What's Public Banking in CA and how can it energize your local economy?

Check in starts at 6pm and our meeting begins at 6:30pm. Elijah’s Restaurant is located at 7061 Clairemont Mesa Blvd.

If you can’t make it in person, please use this link to join us virtually.
