This Saturday, the San Diego History Center will host a historic automobile from 1916 that was driven by suffragists across the United States to advocate for the 19th Amendment. The car is currently on a commemorative road trip to raise awareness in support of the Equal Rights Amendment. The event is free and open to the public, with no registration required.
They will have several special guests helping us welcome the car and its drivers, including:

Former Congresswoman Susan Davis
Former Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney (New York), congressional ERA champion and founder of ERA NOW

Fresh off Tony and Pulitzer wins, Purpose is “a thumping, riveting, guns-blazing, major new American play” (NY Daily News). For decades, the influential Jasper family has been a pillar of Black American Politics: civil rights leaders, celebrity pastors and congressmen. When the youngest son returns home with an uninvited friend, long-buried secrets and tensions threaten to topple their empire.
